Korea International School (KIS) held its 2014 KIS Jeju Global English Camp for 200 elementary and middle school students from Korea, China and Japan from July 24 to Aug. 4.
The Global English Camp, for elementary first grade to middle school third grade, is the second this year and ran for 12 days at the KIS Jeju Campus in Jeju Global Education City, Daejeong-eup.
The elementary first and second grade students were local and commuted daily from their homes. The other students, including many from overseas and the mainland, stayed at the KIS dormitory with 24-hour supervision. Music, games and cultural exchange activities also took place.
Shin Hyein, from Ulsan City, said, “I have English classes in my school. However, it will be a good opportunity for me to pick up English naturally while staying with English native teachers for 24 hours at this camp.” |
