Jeju United sits sixth on goal difference after a mixed run of games. The Orange briefly rose to joint top after defeating Jeonbuk Motors and rising to third, only goal difference keeping them off top. Park Kyung Hoon's men were soon humbled, however, by a comprehensive defeat at Pohang which dropped them to sixth. Scroll down for reports and videos.

Seoul FC 2 – 0 Jeju United (March 26)

Two second-half Seoul goals separated the sides as Jeju visited the capital in late-March. A 68th-minute Ko Yo-Han header and a classy Yun Il-Lok strike in the 73rd minute gave Seoul the three points.

Both teams were even for most of the first half and Jeju’s Song Jin-Hyung went close on 12 minutes before a later Ko Yo-Han shot from outside the box forced United keeper Kim Ho-Jun to tip onto the post.

The breakthrough for Seoul came in the 68th minute when a deflected shot reached Ko Yo-Han, who leapt and headed it past Kim in Jeju’s net to give Seoul a 1-0 lead.

The second followed just 5 minutes later when Seoul worked the ball to Yun Il-Lok who moved it to the right of the penalty area and unleashed a shot into the left corner to put the home team up by two.

The visitors had no answer as the match ended 2-0 for Jeju’s second loss of 2014.

Jeju United 1 – 1 Gyeongnam FC (March 30)

Back in Seogwipo, Jeju looked to redeem themselves against Gyeongnam FC. However, Song Jin-Hyung’s 24th-minute strike for United was cancelled out by Miloš Stojanović in the 63rd minute, sharing the spoils.

Jeju drew first blood through Song on 24 minutes after he received a textbook pass in the penalty area and calmly deposited the ball into Gyeongnam’s net. It was his second goal of the year. Jeju managed to maintain the lead until halftime despite Gyeongnam’s advances.

The leveler eventually came on 63 minutes, however, when Stojanović found the ball at his feet just shy of Jeju’s goalkeeper, Kim Ho-Jun. After a quick shimmy to the right, the Serbian attacker evened the score with his second of the year.

Jeju applied furious pressure after dropping their lead, registering shots on 67, 68, and 71 minutes, but keeper Kim Young-Kwang denied every advance. The Gyeongnam defense also put their bodies in the line of fire and survived two minutes of injury time to take a point back to the mainland.

Sangju Sangmu Phoenix 0 - 1 Jeju United (April 5)

A first-half Droguett volley was enough to give Jeju United the victory over Sangju Sangmu. In a tight game, Jeju showed resolve to hold out for the win.

United had the best of the early exchanges but had to wait until late in the first half to take the lead. In the 41st minute, Hugo Droguett was played through the middle and played it out to Song Jin-Hyung on the right. Song took it wide and crossed to the onrushing Droguett who volleyed past Sangju’s ‘keeper to give Jeju a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. It was Droguett’s second goal of the year, tying him with Song for the team lead.

As both teams retook the pitch for the second half, Sangju pressed Jeju right away and Kim in Jeju’s goal was forced into a save in the 48th minute. He was then beaten in the 61st minute, only for the header to hit the post.

Jeju regained control, however, and on 65 minutes, Kim Hyun took a shot from outside the box, forcing a diving save to the left of the goal by Sangju’s 'keeper. Minutes later, Kim Hyun then fed the ball left to Yoon Bit-Garam, whose shot was tipped onto the crossbar by Sangju’s ‘keeper. Sangju came back into it, but Jeju’s defense clamped down hard for the remainder of the game and maintained the lead to take home the three points.

Jeju United 2-0 Jeonbuk Motors (Wednesday, April 9)

Jeju United found themselves briefly top of the K-League Classic after goals from Kim Hyun and Yoon Bit-garam put Jeonbuk to the sword 2-0.

Jeju defended well in the first half and even when Jeonbuk looked liked breaking through, Jeju recovered lost ground quickly. An evenly matched first 45 minutes drew a scoreless game at halftime.

It was not until the second half that Jeju made the breakthrough. On 53 minutes, a nice passing move from midfield ended at the feet of midfielder Yoon Bit-Garam. With poise and control, Yoon smoothly shot in his first goal of the season to give Jeju a 1-0 lead.

United made it two in the 72nd minute. A cross from wide right found Kim Hyun who headed powerfully past Jeonbuk's ‘keeper. It was Kim's first of 2014 and gave Jeju an unassailable lead, despite valiant efforts from the visitors.

The the 2,389 in attendance had both Jeju’s defense and the crossbar to thank as they welcomed their team’s continued run of good form.

Pohang Steelers 3-0 Jeju United (Saturday, April 12)

Jeju United's stay at the top of the K-League Classic was brief courtesy of a 3-0 loss at the hands of the Pohang Steelers, knocking them down to third, fifth on goal difference.

Jeju enjoyed some of the early exchanges and Droguett could have opened the scoring when he picked the ball up just outside the box. His attempted through ball to Song Jin-Hyung was deflected to the feet of Kim Hyun, who shot into the side netting.

Pohang began to take over as the half wore on and a 22nd-minute shot from a corner forced a sprawling save from Jeju’s Kim Ho-Jun.

Only 2 minutes later, a Kim clearance was retrieved by Pohang and centered from the left to an onrushing Kim Jae-Sung. Kim poked it first time past Jeju's keeper and into the top right corner to give Pohang a 1-0 lead.

On 35 minutes, Kim Jae-Sung would deliver another blow to United. A Pohang ball from the left became muddled at the top of Jeju's box. After some prolonged jousting, the ball squirted loose, and got chipped to Kim, who found himself in space and on goal. He bested Jeju's keeper for the second time in 11 minutes to double Pohang's lead to 2-0 before halftime.

Jeju did not fare any better after the restart. On 78 minutes, Pohang streaked down the left wing and a three-pass move outwitted two Jeju defenders and put Kim Seung-Dae in on goal. Kim dummied and rounded Kim Ho-Jun in goal, before calmly depositing it into the goal. It was Kim's fifth of the year to put his team 3-0 and him league top scorer.

It was an unassailable lead and the Orange headed home, convincingly defeated. The loss dropped Jeju United to 4-3-1, and from tied for first place to fifth on goal difference. It also gave Pohang the outright lead for top spot.
